The record attempt was submitted to the Guinness Book of Records on March 30, 1984. Acceptance of the entry in the 1985 edition was officially confirmed on August 29, 1984. The book was written by Josef Theiner, an innkeeper and chef from Terian (South Tyrol). The miniature book, measuring 20 x 20 mm (with a 19 x 19 mm book block), was printed in Bolzano in March 1984 in a limited edition of 200 leather-bound copies.
