Provenance: Paul Gavault. Gavault (1866-1951) was a French Playwright, known for The Richest Girl (1918), Mademoiselle Josette, ma femme (1914) and L'enfant du miracle (1932), and the Director of Théâtre de l'Odéon, one of France's six national theatres. Gavault wrote the Preface for 'Les Livres de l'enfance du XVe au XIX siecle', published by Gumuchian & Cie, Paris, 1930 - an example of this book is listed as item 3673. 120 x 90 mm. Slightly later half light brown calf binding, signed by A. Pinci, printed on verso of front free endpaper. Spine with gilt decoration and titling. Spine and corners slightly rubbed.
