It is housed in a 'house-shaped' box covered in Japanese Chiyogami mulberry fiber paper and lined with green "silk" paper. Inspired by the dozens of “Jacks” in the Toronto Public Library, this version of The House that Jack Built is bound in carousel or star form, giving an extra dimension to the twelve double-page spreads of hand-colored scenes.
