Original publisher's decorated blue cloth with gilt designs and titling to spine and upper cover. Very slightly rubbed. Bondy, 138. Welsh, 2326. OCLC, 49940987. WorldCat locates two copies worldwide (Indiana, and Virginia Universities). This 'pocket etiquette' format allowed it to be carried discreetly, functioning like a 'secret manual'.  One theme was the condemnation of flirtation, which the author described as an "evil of great magnitude" that left a permanent "stain" on a lady's reputation.
