Complete with original buff dust jacket with red and blue lettering designed by Andrew Chisholm. Spine panel very slightly faded. Billy Tait (1918 - 1992) was born on the Shetland island of Yell. He studied at Edinburgh University and taught English in Shetland, England and Dundee. His collected poems, A Day Between Weathers, was published in 1980 and was the culmination of 40 years’ writing. Billy was a well-known and much loved feature of the Edinburgh public-house circuit. Signed copies are not commonly found to be available.
