Engraved full-page illustrations of the Coal Exchange, Thames Street. All edges gilt. Original marbled endpapers. 30 x 60 mm. Original green leather venetian mosaic binding with decorative motifs in gilt and cream overlays in the central panels. Matching vertical slipcase. Slipcase and covers very slightly rubbed. First produced in 1749 -that first edition survivng in a unique copy at the British Library - the London Almanac continued annually until 1889.
