Impeccable provenance: From the library of Sir G.S. Bishop, youngest ever Deputy Secretary who was at the Ministry of Food 1945-9. This ephemeral document is quite scarce on the open market. The association with a very senior member of the civil service during the war, someone who took many decisions to achieve the best food security possible for the British people during WW2, is highly appropriate and adds to the academic and collector's interest.
