Complete in 22 cards, this is a Major Arcana only deck with 3 additional cards: "game rules", a mail-in card, and a copyright card with publishing information and a greeting from Gille. The card titles are in German, some cards are renamed. The card for the Lovers is the cover to the album Mythos' Dreamlab. The oversized cards , 125 x 90 mm are undated and in near fine condition. Together with the original cardboard box with clear, slip-on, plastic lid; the box is mildly creased at the top, underneath and immediately above & below the cards. With a title that roughly translates as " Legendary Star Maidens Tarot", it was conceived by a German record producer named Rolf-Ulrich Kaiser, and illustrated by Peter Geitner. The Sternenmadchens tarot was published by AGMuller in 1975. Ulrich created the now-defunct "Cosmic Music" record label, which according to an article on the "Mixmaster Morris" website, attempted to create a "music of inner and outer space, music that evoked a cosmic energy in both the performers and the listeners." Somewhere along the line, however, Ulrich also developed an intense fascination with tarot as well. In 1973 Kosmische Musik released an album by Walter Wegmüller called Tarot, which was packaged with the first edition of Wegmüller's Zigeuner Tarot . Whether the Sternenmadchens tarot was intended as a tie-in with any of the Cosmic Music label recordings is unclear. There is one obvious connection between Cosmic Music and the Sternenmadchens name, however -- Ulrich's assistant, Gille Lettmann was also known by the name "Sternenmadchen," and it is Lettmann who provides the introductory text on the frontis card of this majors-only deck.
