German text. 368 printed pages. Top edge yellow. Profusely illustrated with monochrome photographs, some full-page. Includes International Championship results and facsimiles of very many of the Champions' signatures. 21.5 x 28.5 cm. Original blue decorative cloth. Bevelled edges. Spine with wooden tennis racket motif, lettering and head & tail decorative rules in gilt. Slightly faded, toned and a little foxed. Upper board with identical embossed gilt tennis racket motif below gilt lettering. Boards also slightly age toned and very slightly marked. Corners very slightly worn. This was a golden age of the pre-Open Era, when all the Major Tournaments and tours had been established and public popularity for tennis was booming.
