Spine with wooden tennis racket motif, lettering and head & tail decorative rules in gilt. Slightly faded, toned and a little foxed. Upper board with identical embossed gilt tennis racket motif below gilt lettering. Boards also slightly age toned and very slightly marked. Corners very slightly worn. This was a golden age of the pre-Open Era, when all the Major Tournaments and tours had been established and public popularity for tennis was booming.
