492 printed pages;10-1/2" X 14", about 20 pages of black & white photographs of constructions during WWII. Every other page consists of full-page forensically detailed standard-frame and prefabricated structural engineering war plans. Text is clean no markings seen. Site Selection, Planning, Building, Water Supply, and Sanitary plans for all climates. Building constrution plans and list of materials needed to build fuel dumps, barracks, mess buildings, morgues, piers, hangars, stables, guardhouses, Division/Regimental/Battalion/Company headquarters, a parachute building, horse dip, bath houses, surgical wards and hospitals. On the title page it lists the precise distribution of the approximately 191 copies printed (10 copies to Army Engineering Headquarters, and 10 to the Corps of Engineering Headquarters and so on). Black cloth backed buff printed card wrappers (as issued) corners a trifle creased and some minor signs of handling. These intricately detailed books were a major reference point for utilitarian building for the American Army during WW2 and would have been carefully looked after at the time. But relatively few copies were produced and it is now becoming less common. Bookseller Inventory # 4226
