Allegorical and symbolic engravings (London views were not incorporated until about 1736). Published in the same year as the first edition of Daniel Defoe's Journal of a Plague Year. An exceptionally early and very rare London Almanack. A similar edition is in the Queen Mary's Dolls' House in Windsor Castle. Title page with tear at top corner leaving small loss. Some leaves slightly worn due to the clasp. Age-toning throughout. Original marbled endpapers. Near contemporary ownerhip inscriptions dated 1757 and 1807. Provenance: Isaac Pendlebury. 30 x 58 mm. Contemporary black morocco, with brass clasp and gilt panelled, mitred and cornered covers. Wonderful patina. Slightly rubbed with areas of wear at the corners. Not in Spielmann, nor Welsh.
