[192] printed pages. 12 colour plates. Typeface in black, brown and green. Over 100 illustrations, some full-page. Light blue pictorial endpapers by Chris Temple. Various artists produced the illustrations including many by Harry B. Neilson and H.G.C. Marsh. Pages evenly toned. Sporadic light foxing. 23 x 28 cm. Original brown cloth backed, pictorial paper covered boards. Spine with black printed fairy-tale illustration of old woman in a basket (back hinge slightly frayed, very slightly worn and soiled). Upper cover with glossy depiction of Santa with his sack, three young children in the foreground & two more tobogganing in the background. Back cover with advert for Robinson's Barley. Corners slightly bumped and worn; edges very slightly chipped. Partridge's children's annual ran for 21 years from 1909-1929. This edition from the last year in World War One is somewhat scarce, given the privations suffered by the UK due to the costly war with Germany and her allies. Bookseller Inventory # 4491
