Chromolithographed title-page and 47, [1] printed pages -including final leaf of adverts. All edges gilt. 53 x 87 mm. Original glossy black paper covers (some edges and bottom of spine extremely lightly rubbed) with gilt titling on front and publisher's advert on back. "Three pence" in gilt capitals printed down the spine. Contains "Useful Commercial Information" such as "Persons exposing fire-works [sic] for sale , are liable to a penalty of £5" & "Money won at billiards cannot be recovered" & "Ginger beer cannot be sold on Sundays, during the hours Beer-houses are prohibited from being open" or "Card-playing is not allowed in Public-houses; the law against it is very strict". Also contains "Comparative Nutriment of Food" that indicate from Dr Beaumont's tables the hours and minutes taken to digest various types of food including stewed oysters, boiled sago and venison. #2 in Kent's Royal Series. Prince Albert predeceased this almanac by three years and Queen Victoria was 45 years old in 1864. All of this Kent Royal series are very uncommon but this title seems not to be recorded as existing elsewhere. Not in Bondy, Bromer, Joffe, Spielmann nor Welsh. Not found in WorldCat. Not seen in commerce. This is a rare almanac in miniature and in very good condition. Seller Inventory # 5265
