have sterling silver covers with raised edges adhered to the front. Having William Shakespeare embossed diagonally in script amidst floral climbing roses and with a slot that allows the gilt title on each cover to be seen. Richly gilt decorated Art Nouveau spines. 7 with gilt top edges.

The Tempest with all edges gilt. All in good condition

Sterling Silver Cover with cherubs and foliage. Spine with title in gilt. Gilt edges. No slot as with others for title on cover 925 sterling, Birmingham 1905 8.P. D.C. Sold by a collector in a public auction at Bonhams, 9th November 2022.
