Havell, Sculpt.The book (folio) is half black morocco bound with marbled paper covered boards and matching endpapers, spine in six compartments with raised gilt bands, gilt lettering pieces to compartment two; binding in good, sound condition with minimal wear and markings. Inside: The plates are all a little grubby at the margins and bear a few handling marks, one has a couple of minor blemishes to the illustration and the frontispiece has some greyness in parts, a couple have very minor staining to the edges of the bottom margin. The text pages bear intermittent grubbiness and greyness to the margins, handling marks; to the rear of the book the pages have some streaky stains at the top, which are rust coloured, and there is some minor staining to the edges of the margins. The book contains 5 leaves of beautiful contemporary hand coloured plates. All pages are tightly held at the gutter. Inner hinges are good.
