The Lady of the Lake bound in silk McKenzie tartan: The Lay of the Last Minstrel, bound in silk MacFarland tartan; Marmion, bound in silk MacDonald of Glengary tartan: The Lord of the Isles, bound in silk Stuart Tartan. All edges gilt

They are housed in a Mauchline box with a double hinged lid bearing a view of Abbotsford and the seated figure of Sir Walter Scott. The hinged lids have the title 'Scott's Works' on the lower.

 

 Sold by a collector in a public auction at Bonhams, 9th November 2022.
