Bound in beige cloth with black decoration to front and rear. The front having a round shield and 'pikes' with Scott's motto 'Watch Weel' on a sash threading through.

 

3 1/4" x 2 1/2"

 

They are housed in a sycamore Mauchline box with a double hinged lid that is tartan covered and has a sepia statue of Scott on upper half and a view of Abbotsford on lower half. Gilt title on the hinged lids 'Scott's Poetical Works

 

Sold by a collector in a public auction at Bonhams, 9th November 2022.
